Gears five 4x all XP weekend begins today

Just a quick public service announcement: You can earn 4x the amount of XP across all XP in Gears 5 this weekend. The 4x all XP weekend begins today, and with the recent re-upwardly changes, yous should be able to pop yourself some of those nasty re-up-related achievements.

The 4x all XP weekend begins today at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT and finishes at 10pm PT / 1am ET / 6am GMT on the 15th. The multiplier applies to all XP (including Character XP), eliminating some of the grind required for the most enervating of Gears 5 achievements.

If you missed it before in the calendar week, The Coalition announced changes to the XP requirements for re-ups. The amount of XP required per re-up level has now been significantly lowered, which is great news for achievement hunters. Subsequently the update rolled out, many players found themselves with a much college re-up level, unlocking achievements such as Be Aggressive, Devious and A War That Will Be Won. Hopefully, with the lowered XP requirements and this weekend's 4X multiplier on all XP, we should see a few more unlocks on those achievements.
